The main purpose of this role is to be responsible for crafting engaging, value-added and informative content for the marketing communications activities the company. They are viewed as scientific experts in their field, with an extensive portfolio of laboratory testing products frequently used in diverse industry segments, such as Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Environmental, Food & Beverage, Forensic and Academic laboratories. The job holder will also be involved in copywriting material for the wider brands in their portfolio.
The role will be working as part of a fantastic marketing team within a growing company. You will be constantly challenged as you are exposed to new technologies and techniques. The successful candidate will demonstrate drive, ambition and be self-motivated. Able to pick up and run with tasks such as: Taking the lead on crafting & developing a wide variety of value-added, benefit-oriented content for their websites, e-mail marketing, trade magazines, sales collateral, press releases and videos, Be involved in the cross-functional planning and delivery of a rolling marketing campaign and communications plan, ensuring that all objectives are met across all sales channels, working closely with sales and marketing teams across the company, working to deadlines and the highest standards.
To be considered for this role you must have 1-2 years’ experience as a scientific copywriter, a Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Genetics or other related scientific degree (or be in the final year of studying for such), be able to distil complex scientific information into engaging copy for different audiences, and be creative and have a passion for marketing communications.
