An exciting and rewarding opportunity exists for a development scientist to join one of the world leaders in antibody production at my client’s production facility in Oxford, specialising in the manufacture of antibodies for the research community.
You would be a bench scientist with a progressive attitude and a track record of involvement in process development and optimisation. You have chemistry / biochemistry based background with proven skills in bio-conjugations, including traditional conjugation of fluorescent dyes and proteins to antibodies, experienced in developing conjugation chemistries for new dyes and antibodies. You will also have an innovative, forward thinking approach to process improvement with an ability to work independently when needed.
The role will be based within the manufacturing laboratory, working with other scientists to ensure a smooth new product hand-over into production. Hand in hand with this come opportunities to liaise with fellow scientists all over the world on transfer of know-how into manufacturing during product release. Alongside this the role involves the analysis of current practices within the team, showing by experimental design and execution improvement possibilities in all areas of manufacturing with specific emphasis on antibody conjugation.
To be considered for this role you would have at least an M Sc, with relevant industrial experience in a commercial lab. You MUST have hands-on experience of carrying out conjugations, knowledge of protein purification methodologies, and antibody assays.
