Do you have experience in flow cytometry, and want to take your knowledge into a commercial role as a Field Application Specialist?
My client designs, manufactures and delivers instruments for automated cell counting and cell based assays based on fluorescence microscopy and automated image analysis. Their instruments are used for research, process development as well as cell manufacturing, and they are a core technology in many GMP production sites, especially within the cell therapy sector.
As a Field Application Scientist you will use your solid hands-on experience with cell culture to help customers implement their technology for their applications. You will work in conjunction with the team of sales representatives to expand their operations and support end users in the United Kingdom. You will also participate in conference activities and develop educational content for existing and potential customers. This position is an excellent opportunity for a scientist who enjoys solving problems and providing customer support.
You will plan and perform product demonstrations, installations, training and presentations at end user sites, provide technical support for end users via remote or onsite troubleshooting, support marketing and sales in identifying key customer segments and developing strategies to increase reach and revenue. You will also work with the sales and marketing teams to generate marketing, scientific and product-relevant material for prospective and existing customers, and occasionally take on sales duties if needed, such as during a period of reorganization or training of new starters.
You? You will be qualified to PhD level, or an MSc with 2 years commercial experience in a cell culture lab, all candidates MUST have experience with flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy. You will have a sense of urgency, especially in regards to customer requests and support, with a highly driven and motivated work ethic, happy to work independently, keen problem-solving skills, have a willingness to travel 50%% of the time (minimum) and an outgoing demeanour and talent for building relationships with customers.
