£25K to £30K basic
Do you have a degree in Microbiology or a related field?
Have you got up to 3-5 years post-graduate laboratory experience?
Are you experienced in various microbiology techniques, including; microbial identification, basic enzymology, bioluminescent reformulations and/or PCR?
Our client is a market leading manufacturer and distributor of microbial detection kits, predominantly in the food and beverage sector but also into healthcare, and pharmaceuticals respectively. Their head office is in California, with offices across the US, UK & Asia!
They are looking for someone who has a hands-on experience in a microbiology lab - whether that be from a university degree or an industrial food testing lab. You will be using their PCR-based foodborne pathogen detection methods in order to provide customers with high-quality, innovative technologies that are easy to use and reliable. This is essentially a lab based role with the occasional administrative office duty, providing technical support to customers about particular products when necessary. You will also be involved in designing and carrying out experiments to complete applications projects as well as generating new ideas for process, operational improvements, and to chair internal scientific meetings
