National Key Account Manager | Molecular Biology | UK | £30,000 to £50,000 OTE £60,000

This role will see you join a brilliant company that for the last two decades has built up a reputation of excellence, providing a range of exciting Molecular Biology products from an equally exciting range of manufactures. They are a small business and as such really care about each and every customer and of course the employees that look after them.

Recent success has led to further need for growth, and they are looking for a National Key Account Manager to join their team. You will be crucial in maintaining and nurturing key customer relationships, identifying, and securing new opportunities while also getting involved with support and marketing.

Key Responsibilities

SALES

  • Generating sales and retaining relationships with existing customers across the UK
  • Identifying and developing new accounts
  • Maintaining existing accounts
  • Demonstrating/Presenting laboratory equipment
  • Monitoring and reporting on sales trends

TECHNICAL

  • Keeping up to date with Molecular Biology trends and developments
  • Providing timely and accurate technical support for customers
  • Participating in suppliers training sessions for existing and new products
  • Resolving faults/problems with use of equipment/consumables

MARKETING

  • Producing content for brochures, liaising with Sales and Marketing Director to assist in content generation
  • Generate content for product-related emails
  • Contribute to maintenance of website
  • Arranging Geneflow exhibitions in table-top format and attending national exhibitions in partnership with suppliers Participating in and adding new products to e-market place purchasing systems such as Science Warehouse

The successful applicant should have:

  • Molecular Biology Degree (Preferably PhD)
  • Minimum 2 years sales experience in a technical scientific marketplace
  • Proven key account experience
  • Ability to self-generate business and self-motivate
  • Preferably residing in or around the Midlands area
  • Good commercial understanding
  • Marketing experience would be beneficial
