Instrument sales
An innovative and international manufacturer producing specialised laboratory measuring instrumentation is looking to recruit a Sales Engineer in the North West Region The company hasan brand that is well-known for quality and is a leading company in its market sector.The business is one of the global leaders in the measurement of density, concentration and carbon dioxide, and in the field of rheometry. The role itself will involve prospecting new business, visiting clients and conducting demonstrations and sales presentations. You will be responsible for managing your own territory – maximising sales and developing and managing customer relationships. This role will focus on a range of microwave instruments that are used in chemical synthesis and also in the preparation on samples for analytical work. The role will cover the Northern half of the UK.

The successful candidate will have a degree in science, chemistry, engineering, physics or other similar analytical chemistry jobs. You will also have a proven track record of success in technical sales, preferably with experience selling instrumentation. There is a strong preference for you to be based in the North West region.

Field Service Engineer – trainee
Do you have extensive hands-on experience of LC-MS including method development and/or maintenance?
Are you itching to get out of the lab and want to get out in the field?A leading manufacturer of analytical chemistry instruments is expanding its service team within the UK and is keen to recruit someone with hands-on use of LCMS and train them to become a field service engineer. Once fully trained and confident in your abilities you will be installing, servicing and handling emergency breakdowns of high value analytical chemistry instruments at customer laboratories in the Oxford/M4 corridor area.
Initially you will have extensive training on the products and service protocolbeforeworkingalongside a very experienced engineer in the field with the aim of working independently as and when you are ready for this.I am keen to speak with chemistry graduates who have some previous analytical chemistry jobs experience with hands-on experience using LCMS. Those who have had to carry out calibration/maintenance and running repairs would be of particular interest.Candidatescurrently working as LC-MS service engineers will also be considered.Package: Basic salary £25-35K (depending on experience), 10% company bonus, a company car, private healthcare and pension.
