Our client is a well-established provider of small molecule crystallography data and is a leader in software for pharmaceutical discovery, materials development, research and education. This is a not-for-profit organisation and a registered charity that is involved in numerous teaching and outreach activities. They are looking to hire a Team Leader to join their friendly and supportive team to manage and lead an existing group of research scientists in their discovery and life science department.
Based at their lab in a lovely, central location in the South East UK, this role will involve maximising the value of the companies cutting-edge research software and generating innovative insights in the field of knowledge-based discovery science. Reporting to the CEO, you will be a member of the operations management team and combine the life science vision with the overall strategic framework. You will provide professional expert input into the development of discovery that fascinates the biotech, pharmaceutical and academic user base.
We’re looking to speak with higher level scientists who have at least 3-5 years’ experience in drug discovery. You must have experience managing a team, including the support and development of staff. Ideally, you will have an understanding of Biochemistry and/or Pharmaceutical related techniques, although this is not essential. Each scientist here is an expert in their related field, it is more about the leadership than your specific technical background.
