We are presenting an opening for a Technical Support Engineer | Digital Pathology to support their growing UK business, by hands-on servicing of their range of research-grade cameras and digital pathology systems in life-science microscopy.
The role consists of technical support of microscopy imaging systems, high-quality CCD and scientific CMOS cameras in the biomedical and life science market. Full training on these products will be provided.
You will be primarily office based north of London, but there is also the opportunity to get involved with joint customer visits to demonstrate cameras (camera installation, software operation, image acquisition) and attendance at exhibitions/trade shows.
This role is part of an expanding team and will be the office based support to the field sales and servicing group. Your success will be measured by your contribution to the overall team results. The company is very supportive and you will be able to develop your product and commercial skills.
The role is office based with occasional UK -wide travel. The offices are situated between London and Cambridge.
The role requires a HND in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and experience with microscopes, camera systems or pathology, with knowledge of Windows server 2012R2 would be an advantage. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in servicing and repairing of professional digital/optical equipment is required, and you will need to demonstrate a flair for dealing with customers and be able to demonstrate your ability to diagnose problems remotely.
